A happy child, a world without violence

 Imagine a world without violence, what can be done to achieve it? In the year 2020, statistics showed that approximately more than 1 billion children were victims of physical, sexual, emotional or neglectful abuse and maltreatment. It has also been proven that violence suffered in childhood affects not only the health but also the well-being of each person throughout his or her life. Our saying is simple “a happy child, a world without violence” because that is what we wholeheartedly believe. While societies, governments and police forces prepare to punish the actions already taken by the men and women of today, our mission is to teach, love and help those who will be the men and women of tomorrow.  

Our foundation Hijos Del Sol, is located in the east of Venezuela, where currently through 21 dining halls in the cities of Barcelona, Puerto La Cruz, and Margarita Island, we feed approximately 4,200 children, adolescents and people in extreme need. The current situation in Venezuela has led our main focus to provide these children with a plate of food since it has been proven that 40% of Venezuelan children suffer from acute or moderate malnutrition. However, our heart goes much further than simply providing them with food. Our desire is that each one of these children can experience God’s love and we do this by providing prayer, teachings, fun activities, games, crafts, face painting, clowns, clothes, shoes and the list goes on.
